"Women... are not encouraged to show their ability. Even in the family, they have to face obstacles and confrontations. If women are given due recognition and encouragement, they will shine with brilliance in all fields and will serve the house, country, and the entire world gloriously, contributing to the welfare of the entire humanity."

- Sri Sathya Sai Baba, April 19, 1998

Guest Speaker

Radha Reddy

Sister Radha Reddy

Sister Radha came into Swami’s fold as a teenager when she joined Anantapur College for women. Coming from a non-Sai devotee family, whose primary religion was loving kindness, Radha was attracted to Sai’s teachings of Love All, Serve All; but was not yet ready to turn into a full-time devotee. It was not until after her subsequent migration to America, did she realize that she has turned into a devotee of Bhagavan without her knowledge. Since then, she has served Bhagavan in various positions.
At the center level, she served as the President and Vice-President and at the regional level as Vice President, YA Female advisor and Women’s Coordinator. She served Swami for five years as one of the editors of Sai “Love in Action” website. She considers herself blessed for the opportunity. She joined the Alumni team that transcribed and published the Samarpan talks as Sai Bhagavatam, which was offered at Bhagavan’s feet in Prasanthi Nilayam on Avatar Declaration Day in 2019.
In Nashville, her hometown, she is active with various community service projects, and has spent the last 35 years serving on various non-profit Organizations. Currently, she works for Organizations like Everyonehuman.org and Free for Life International/Ever Well Foundation which fights against human exploitation and trafficking. She also serves the local Hindu temple as tour guide and interfaith panelist.
She is frequently invited to speak at various Sai events and considers herself fortunate to have been a speaker at Shivam, Hyderabad. Sister Radha Reddy currently serves Swami as the center Vice President.

"Savitri fought with the God of Death (Yama) and succeeded in getting her husband back to life. Can you find any instance in the scriptures or history where a husband was prepared to do sacrifice for his wife? If the wife is dead, he is ready to have a second marriage. Such unfair things are happening in the world in respect of women. That is why it was decided to celebrate not only 19th November but 19th of every month as Mahila Day."

Breakout Sessions

Shining the light on subconscious - to consciously rewrite our software; the modus operandi. It will be an interactive session that requires our minds and heart to shine the light from within and re-wire our system to enable the light within into shine bright. Join us on an interactive session with our speaker and learn this awesome technique.

“Images serve the same purpose as metaphors, similes, etc. in poetry. They illustrate, amplify and make clear.” Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Prema Vahini pg. 23 Swami’s words speak to the Virat Swarupa (Cosmic Form) of the Lord found, undiminished and unalloyed, in the image Swarupa (Form).

Through the Expressive Arts, we will illustrate, amplify, and make clear how Swami’s light shines within our Swarupa, the obstacles that make it appear hidden, and the spiritual resources that bring clarity. Engage in a somatic movement practice, draw, write, and share from your personal mythology to understand the greater communal wisdom. No previous art or dance/movement experience is necessary. Let the arts and creativity be your guide.

Materials: Cray-pas, a drawing pad, journal, something to write with, a yoga mat (optional for on the floor movement)
Note: Some materials will be provided for people to use if needed

"Women must realise the enormous power of the mind for good or evil and see that its power is used only for doing good. The mind can make a person a demon or Divine. The mind is under the control of the intellect. The intellect is governed by the Aathma. Self-realisation will bring about control over everything. The dire conditions prevailing in the world are known to everyone. The root cause of all this is the failure of people to realise their inherent divinity. Excessive desires, fuelled by selfishness, are the cause of all troubles. The primary requisite is confidence in one's self. Without that confidence, nothing can be accomplished."

"More fragrant than the sweet-smelling flowers
like the Jasmine and the Champak,
Softer than the cheese and the butter,
More beautiful than eye of the peacock,
More pleasant than the moonlight,
Is the love of the mother."

"As today is a sacred day dedicated to women, they should change themselves and help to change the men and the children. They should develop the qualities of sympathy, compassion; love and sacrifice. Study the lives of our great women, who were models of patience, fortitude, compassion and sacrifice. I desire that you should take up the reins of leadership and bring peace and prosperity to the nation by leading ideal lives."
